Thanks: Mel is the best in the world, especially since I've gone on a writing binge lately and have kept her busy. I sincerely don't know what I'd do without her. She is worth her weight in gold.
Dedication: This is for my lovely twin, Janelle, cause she's awesome. I couldn't ask for a better twin to share my birthday with.
The spring in Sunnydale was really quite beautiful. Lush green grasses and beautiful green tree leaves grew in abundance as flowers sprouted up in various locations throughout the small town. It was almost like a rebirth for the otherwise demonic community, an awakening. It was the one time a year when the Hellmouth didn't seem quite so intimidating, and that feeling was instinctively picked up in the air by everyone, whether they had the knowledge that they lived on the Mouth of Hell or not. It was the time of year for the celebration of life, youth, and love. A fact that didn't escape a petite red headed witch as she tried to convince her best friend to join with her in the wiccan ceremony of spring that was going to be held later that night.
"Let me get this straight. You want me to prance around some fire completely nude, while other people are there in much the same attire, and chant and dance, but let us not forget the IN THE BUFF THING!" Buffy stated while looking at her friend as if she had grown a third eye in the middle of her forehead.
"Buffy, this is a celebration of nature without feeling the need to hide behind covers or boundaries. We are most natural in our naked form. Besides, the human body is a beautiful thing; this is your one chance to be completely free. Like you have anything to be ashamed of to begin with anyway," Willow responded chidingly.
Buffy just shook her head at Willow. "I can not believe that this is the same shy little girl I met when I first came to Sunnydale. The one who was head over heals in love with her childhood friend Xander and who refused to dress sexy for Halloween."
Willows cheeks colored somewhat. "Yay, well, that's when you get when you hang out with Buffy Summers too long. You get introduced to the occult and pulled right out of shyness. Two of the many hazards of having a vampire slayer for a best friend," she claimed teasingly.
"Glad to be of service," Buffy remarked wryly. "And I'm still not going to do this thing tonight"
"Would it help if I told you that it is mainly women that are going to be there and you probably have not even met most of them," Willow asked hopefully.
"Not especially. Call me a prude all you want but I have some serious issues with this whole idea," Buffy remarked, still not believing the course of the conversation they were having.
"Well then get over it," Willow replied with a gleam in her eye. "It will be fun and I really want you to go. I'll owe you big time and do all your homework for a month?" she added hopefully.
Buffy wouldn't admit but the event actually did sound like fun. It was a chance to be entirely open, a chance to get away from the unwritten standards of society. She didn't like the idea of others seeing her nude but the ceremony itself and the chance to let loose of all her inhibitions did appeal to her. Still she thought she would hold out relaying this rapidly dawning information to Willow in the hopes of getting more get out of jail free passes where school work was concerned.
"Six weeks of homework," Buffy said firmly.
"Done," Willow responded, nodding her head in affirmation. It was settled, she couldn't believe she had got Buffy to agree to go.

The night air chilled the bodies of many wiccans as they celebrated the dawning of spring in a small meadow just outside of Sunnydale. The meadow lay nestled next to a small grove and a stream, its beauty, even in the darkness of night, evident to all that attended the ceremony. A blazing bond fire danced merrily in the center of the clearing and the sky above was a brilliant canvass of a bright moon and twinkling stars.
Buffy felt unbelievably bold as she stood proudly with the others, her nakedness all but forgotten as she let the essence of life fill her spirit. Her senses soared into over drive as she opened her mind to her surroundings, allowing the fresh air and the wonderful spring scents to fill her lungs and move throughout her body. The light breeze against her flesh made her feel alive and awake, the most alert she had been in a long time and she longed to lay down in the cool grass and just watch the sky in all of its whimsical beauty. She wished that Angel were there to share this experience with her. Angel, her one true love, the vampire she would love to make love to under these very stars but realized that she couldn't because the consequences were too great. He would loose the one thing that separated him from the other vampires, his soul.
An elderly woman silently approached Buffy, sensing the sudden sadness that overcame the young girl. The woman looked small and fragile but inside of her was a mind filled with knowledge and understanding. She was well aware of the goings on of Sunnydale, she could even read that this girl was the slayer but she viewed life as a gift of beauty, something to be cherished. She felt that no one should be as sad as the girl before her was now, and she took it upon herself to rectify the situation.
"He's thinking of you too, you know," the woman said quietly. "Right now he is standing at a window in that mansion of his wondering where you are and if your okay."
"How do you know that?" Buffy asked curiously, instinctively liking this strange woman.
"I can feel it. It is a powerful bond that the two of you share, a bond that some never find no matter how many life times they spend searching. It is a rare thing to find a soul mate, you two should be spending this time together, not apart," the woman remarked wisely.
'There are other things that keep us apart," Buffy claimed softly, her eyes gazing up at the star filled sky.
"Ah," the old woman said smiling, "but this is a night of magic and wonder. This is the night to forget about worldly problems. This is a night to glory in love and in life. Call to your man; let him come to you. Do not worry about what will not happen and concentrate instead on strengthening those ties that bind your heart to his. I promise you, my young, selfless slayer, no harm will befall as a result." With that said, the old woman turned around and left Buffy standing by herself to contemplate over her words.
Buffy felt herself giving in to the magic of the evening. She couldn't pin point it but she trusted the words of the wise woman, she seemed to know so much without Buffy having to breathe a word. Buffy felt her mind start to wonder to that of her only love, her brain conjuring up his image as it danced nude in front of the fire light. She opened herself up to feel his presence, silently reaching out with her mind to summon him to her. Buffy felt something powerful flow out of her and into the night, its force traveling to reach an ensouled vampire across town.

Angel walked steadily through the town, driven by an unknown force. He could feel Buffy in his mind, feel her spirit calling out to him and he followed that call instinctively, moving quickly through the night. He was drawn to her spirit like a moth to a flame and he could feel her essence all around him as he made his journey to where she stood her love blanketing him against the chill of the night air. At last he came to a clearing, the dying embers of a fire glowing brightly on the ground, the place all but deserted save one person standing in its center.
In the clearing she stood, arms outreached, looking like a breath-taking image of Greek goddess or a magical being of some sort. Her pale blonde hair glistened like spun gold in the moonlight and her beautiful skin glowed with healthy light. The curves and form of her naked body beckoned to him like ripe fruit from a vine, promising of a life altering experience. Her sheer beauty moved him beyond speech or thought, and her eyes sparkled in amused invitation, her hands motioning for him to come to her. Unable to stop himself he eagerly ran to her and hugged her fiercely to him, holding her tight. He only allowed a space to come between them when he lifted her up off of the ground and spun her in a circle. Silver laughter bubbled up in Buffy and Angel matched her joy with a smile of his own. Gradually the two beings sunk to the ground, each rolling over the soft green grass without lessening their hold on one another.
Angel ended up on top, his eyes memorizing every feature of Buffy's face as he gazed into her eyes with a look of complete unconditional love and devotion. There were no words to describe how much he openly adored her and Buffy felt tears spring to her eyes at the sheer poetry of the moment. Angel gently reached out to brush his fingertips over Buffy's cheek and a small moan escaped from somewhere inside her throat. Angel was amazed at the vision she made laying there in the moonlight, her hair spilled across the ground. She was his precious piece of art, his life long dream of the perfect mate, just as he was hers. Their lips slowly started to gravitate towards one another, the meeting causing the earth to come alive around them.
Crickets serenaded them as the kissed, the world spinning rapidly around them. The stars twinkled delightedly in utter reverence to the power of the love felt by the couple below. The damp grass caressed Buffy's skin as she lay on top of it, adding to her feeling of being completely surrounded by sensuous touch. Angel felt dizzy with longing, his body becoming shaky and alive as the rush of utter passion washed over him. His clothing quickly became an unwelcomed barrier, as his skin longed to come in contact with Buffy's, naked flesh to naked flesh. Buffy helped him tear and tug at the garments; both of their minds solely focused on their driving need.
Buffy gasped as Angel's chest became bared to her view, the beautiful display of hard muscle and silky skin almost too much for her to bear. In complete worship she ran her hands over him, her touch light and soft and Angel had to throw his head back and close his eyes at the dizzying rush of emotion that raked his body as a result. She looked up at him wide eyed and wondering, as if in total awe of his complete masculinity, and while maintaining eye contact she moved her fingers to unbutton his pants and push them down, Angel lifting his body slightly in order to help her. Joy sprung eternal as their flesh finally came together without any boundaries or obstacles, an ocean of mind altering sensation causing their bodies to be swept away in combination of lust, longing and love.
Both eager to come together after going far too long without, neither one of them hesitated in thrusting wildly towards one another, their bodies molding together perfectly in one powerful stroke. Both gasped at the intensity of the union, their minds completely lost to a tidal wave of feeling. They drove towards each other in desperation, neither one sure where their body ended and the other's began. They were the perfect fit, inside and out, two souls destined to come together and join in the journey towards astronomical ecstasy and unconditional love. Their hands roamed wildly and forcefully against each other, each of them wanting to touch and see all that there was of the other person. They kept eye contact the whole time, their hands finally resting up over their heads against the ground as their fingers locked and interlaced with one another. Grinding madly they drove each other to the brink of complete fulfillment, an explosion echoing in their minds and in their bodies as they reached that very peak of the life, that special destination where whole universes are created.
Together they stayed locked in each other's embrace long after the last stirrings of passion had died. A light breeze came and went; cooling their sweat covered bodies. The stars and the moon still shined brightly from above, the canvass of the sky a breathtaking peak into the universe at large. Tomorrow promised to surely come, as it always did, but for now the two soul mates stayed united, happy to finally be complete.
The End!
